Background Check Authorization Agreement

By continuing the signup process and registering as a Helper on the Favor On-Demand platform, you authorize Favor On-Demand LLC (“Favor On-Demand,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and its third-party background check provider, Checkr, to conduct a background check for the purpose of verifying your eligibility to provide services through the platform.
You acknowledge and agree that the background check may include, but is not limited to:
• Identity verification
• Criminal history records
• Public records searches
• Address history verification
• Other legally permissible screening checks
These checks may be conducted through Checkr, a third-party consumer reporting agency.
The specific scope of any background check may vary based on applicable law, geographic location, and the services offered through the Favor On-Demand platform.
By agreeing to this Background Check Authorization Agreement, you provide your consent for Favor On-Demand and Checkr to obtain consumer reports and background reports about you for the purpose of determining your eligibility to participate as a Helper on the platform.
You authorize Favor On-Demand and Checkr to verify the information you provide and to obtain background information from public and private sources as permitted by law.
Completion of a background check or payment of the background check fee does not guarantee approval to become a Helper.
Favor On-Demand reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or remove any Helper account at its sole discretion and in accordance with applicable law.
You acknowledge that Favor On-Demand may request additional or periodic background checks during the time you use the platform as a Helper.
Your continued use of the platform constitutes ongoing authorization for such checks.
Helpers are responsible for paying the applicable background check fee during the onboarding process.
From time to time, Favor On-Demand may offer promotional incentives related to the background check fee. Any such incentive, including reimbursement of the background check fee, is subject to the eligibility requirements, limitations, and terms set forth in the Favor On-Demand Terms and Conditions.
Payment of the background check fee does not guarantee approval to become or remain a Helper on the Favor On-Demand platform.
Completion of a background check does not create an employment relationship between you and Favor On-Demand.
Helpers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Favor On-Demand.
Favor On-Demand does not make hiring decisions on behalf of Helpers or Requesters.
Background checks are conducted by Checkr, and Favor On-Demand does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information contained in any background report.
Favor On-Demand does not create, modify, or control the contents of background reports provided by Checkr or any other third-party consumer reporting agency. Any disputes regarding the accuracy or completeness of a report must be directed to the reporting agency in accordance with applicable law.
If you believe that information contained in your background report is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to dispute the information directly with Checkr.
Instructions for disputing a report will be provided by Checkr during the background check process.
Background checks are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other relevant federal and state regulations.

Governing Law
This Background Check Authorization Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, except where superseded by applicable federal law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
You agree that your electronic acceptance of this Background Check Authorization Agreement has the same legal effect as your handwritten signature and constitutes your legally binding authorization for Favor On-Demand and its authorized third-party screening provider to conduct background checks as described herein.
By checking the applicable authorization box and continuing the Helper registration process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Background Check Authorization Agreement and authorize Favor On-Demand and its third-party screening provider to conduct background checks as described herein.
